ASSESSMENT OF GENETIC VARIABILITY AMONG SOYBEAN EXOTIC GENOTYPES FOR ADAPTABILITY AND YIELD

Comprehensive research was performed in the experimental area Plant Breeding and Genetics situated University of Agriculture Faisalabad to estimate analysis variance correlation soybean exotic accessions conducting a randomized complete block design comprising four check varieties. All recommended cultural agronomic practices were followed homogenously for each genotype during study. The data various morphological phonological characters recorded from sowing harvesting subjected measure amplified simple correlation. revealed that significantly dissimilar with one another parameter except days germination. findings indicated variation population, reporting scope improvement these traits. breeding material carries different ranges such as height plant starting 14 57cm, hundred seed weight 6 42g, number pods 4 42, grains per 8 96, germination 10, fresh 7 186g, maturity 74 135, day flowering 24 54 seeds 9 89g. SUMTER, 9831, STARR, Maxcy, 9041, Leslie, ada, Norman identi9fied promising genotypes i9n terms high yield better adaptability. Results concluded considering height, pods, are traits selection standards attain yield.
